1. Pay attention to the color of your baby's stool
Pay attention to the color of the baby's stool, if there is a problem with the liver and biliary tract, the stool will turn white, but not suddenly white, but more and more faint, if the body suddenly turns yellow, you must bring it to the doctor.
This is because under normal circumstances, the bilirubin processed by the liver will be excreted from the bile duct to the intestine, so the feces have a color, but when the biliary tract is atresia, bilirubin accumulates in the liver and cannot be excreted, which will cause liver damage.
2. Observe the baby's daily life
As long as you feel that the baby looks more and more yellow, the spirit and appetite are not good, or the body temperature is unstable, lethargy, easy to scream and cry, etc., you should go to the hospital for examination.
3. Carefully observe the changes in jaundice
Jaundice starts to yellow from the head and recedes from the feet, and the eyes are the earliest to yellow and the last to recede, so you can start with the eyes first. If you don't know how to look at it, experts suggest that you can press any part of the body, as long as the skin is white, it doesn't matter, if it's yellow, you should pay attention.
4. Don't be too dark in the home
After the baby is discharged from the hospital, try not to let the home be too dark, the curtains should not be drawn too tightly, during the day the baby is close to the natural light next to the window, it doesn't matter if the electric light is turned on or not, it will not have any effect. If the baby's jaundice index exceeds 15mg/dL in the hospital, the hospital will illuminate the bilirubin to change the structure due to the actinization reaction, and become a structure that does not harm the brain and metabolizes (it must have a fixed wavelength to be effective).
The reason why you continue to use natural light when you get home is that there is any wavelength in natural light, and it can be more or less helpful. And too dark at home has an impact on the baby's absorption of vitamin D, but don't let the baby directly exposed to the sun, for fear of sunburn, and also afraid of ultraviolet damage.
5. Breastfeed frequently
