If the drug is effective, most children treated with antibiotics begin to feel better 2 to 3 days after starting the drug, but may still feel tired or have a cough for weeks or even months after treatment. In addition, your child may have respiratory discomfort during exercise for the first few months.

How to care for a child with mycoplasma pneumonia on a daily basis

Try to reduce your child's discomfort and make sure he gets enough rest and that he or she drinks enough water.For infants and very young children, it may be appropriate to give small amounts of fluids more than once, rather than large amounts of fluids in fewer times.
