1. Increase: After chemotherapy, a large number of primitive naïve leukemia cells in the bone marrow of acute leukemia patients will also develop into mature leukemia cells, because the primitive naïve leukemia cells proliferate in the bone marrow, so a large number of neutrophils will be released into the peripheral blood in the bone marrow, and neutrophils in the peripheral blood will be high;

2. Reduction: In patients with chronic myeloid leukemia, neutrophils and lymphocytes will be the dominant neutrophils and lymphocytes in the peripheral blood due to the proliferation of leukemia cells in the bone marrow and the release of leukemia cells. Since lymphocytes are immune cells of the body, the proportion of lymphocytes increases when they proliferate in the peripheral blood. Neutrophils are the body's defense cells, and monocytes and neutrophils are the main ones in the peripheral blood, so monocytes and neutrophils in the peripheral blood will also be low.

Leukemia patients are often accompanied by anemia and thrombocytopenia, and if the patient has fever, petechiae on the skin, ecchymosis, bleeding gums, nosebleeds and other symptoms, he should go to the hospital in time.If leukemia is diagnosed, patients should be treated with drugs such as cytarabine under the guidance of a medical professional, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation may be done if necessary.
